What is the AI Governance QuickScan?
The QuickScan is a free, 21-question self-assessment that helps an organization understand its current AI governance readiness across seven practical pillars. It produces an instant Readiness Level, a directional 0–100 score, a seven-pillar snapshot, and the gaps most worth addressing first.
Who is the QuickScan for?
It is useful for any organization facing new AI questions — whether from customers, boards, funders, regulators, or its own teams. That includes small and midsize businesses that sell into regulated, enterprise, or public-sector markets (where AI questions show up in RFPs, security questionnaires, and reviews), and equally school districts, nonprofits, faith organizations, libraries, and local government, where the pressure comes from a board, a funder, a mandate, or a duty to protect the people they serve.
What do I receive from the free QuickScan?
You receive an instant Readiness Level, a directional score, seven pillar scores, your priority gaps, high-level recommended first moves, and a Policy Starter Outline labeled as a Discussion Draft. The result is designed to help you organize the issues and prepare better internal and advisor conversations; it is not a complete implementation package.
What does it cost?
The AI Governance QuickScan is free. AI Governance Starter Kit: $297 introductory price through August 31, 2026. Regular price $497 beginning September 1, 2026. AI Governance QuickStart Workshop: $1,500, and it includes the complete Starter Kit.
What is the difference between the QuickScan, Starter Kit, and Workshop?
The QuickScan helps you understand where you stand and what to address first. The Starter Kit gives you the editable tools and guidance to begin implementing independently. The Workshop brings your leadership team together to interpret the findings, make decisions, assign ownership, and tailor the next steps.
What is included in the Starter Kit?
The Starter Kit includes connected, editable governance tools and implementation guidance: an acceptable-use policy starter, AI inventory workbook, use-case intake form, risk-classification matrix, data-boundary and staff-rollout materials, vendor AI questionnaire, evidence and buyer-readiness materials, a 30-day implementation-plan template, and worked examples. It also shows how to use the materials together based on your QuickScan priorities.
What is included in the QuickStart Workshop?
The $1,500 QuickStart Workshop includes the complete Starter Kit, pre-session review of your QuickScan result, one live 90-minute facilitated leadership session, prioritization of the most important gaps, agreed owners and next steps, a customized priority roadmap, and a leadership-ready summary.
How is the Readiness Level calculated?
The QuickScan has 21 questions, with three questions in each of seven pillars. Answers earn 0 to 3 points: No / not in place = 0, Partly / informal = 1, Mostly in place = 2, and Yes / established and documented = 3. “Not sure” scores 0 and is separately flagged as an unknown to confirm. The total is converted to a directional 0–100 score and one of five Readiness Levels: Early Stage (0–24), Developing (25–49), Foundational (50–69), Managed (70–84), and Mature (85–100).
Can an organization receive a score of 100?
Yes. An organization that selects “Yes / established and documented” for all 21 questions can receive 100. A score of 100 means the organization reported that all practices measured by this QuickScan are established and documented. It does not certify compliance, eliminate risk, or prove that every relevant governance practice has been independently verified.
What happens if I answer “Not sure”?
“Not sure” receives 0 points because the practice cannot be confirmed, but it is flagged as an unknown rather than silently treated as a definite “No.” That helps the organization identify facts to verify before making decisions.
Is the QuickScan legal advice, a compliance certification, an audit, or a security assessment?
No. The QuickScan and Priority Governance materials are practical governance-readiness resources. They are not legal advice, a compliance determination or certification, an audit or audit opinion, or a security assessment. Take decisions requiring professional legal, security, privacy, compliance, employment, insurance, or other advice to the appropriate qualified advisor.
Do I need to provide sensitive data?
No. The QuickScan asks about policies, processes, ownership, and governance practices. It does not require customer records, employee records, protected health information, financial records, credentials, contracts, source code, production logs, trade secrets, or other sensitive operational data. Can I upload documents?
No. The current QuickScan does not accept document uploads, and no upload is needed to receive a result.
Is the result based on an independent review?
No. The instant QuickScan result is based on the answers the respondent provides and is not an independent inspection of the organization’s systems, contracts, policies, controls, or operations. The QuickStart Workshop adds human facilitation and discussion, but it remains governance-readiness support rather than an audit, certification, or security assessment.
How is my information handled?
The QuickScan is designed to minimize sensitive-data collection. Submission and contact information is used to provide and administer the result, operate and secure the service, and communicate as described in the Privacy Policy. Do I need to begin with the QuickScan?
The QuickScan is the recommended starting point because it gives both you and Priority Governance a common view of your current priorities. You may purchase the Starter Kit for independent implementation, or contact Priority Governance about a Workshop when leadership alignment and facilitation would be useful.
